CONSTANTINO SCHOLARSHIP FUND

DO YOU LIKE A CHALLENGE???

For the second year the Syracuse Track Club has awarded academic scholarships to a graduating high school male and female runner who intend to continue their running careers in college.  This year’s recipients were Noreen Kordziel of Chittenango High School and Jamal Padgett of Henniger High School.

The awards are given in memory of the late Nottingham track and cross country coach and Syracuse Track Club founder, George Constantino. Jerry Scholder, of Front Royal VA,  former NY State mile champion under Constantino and former STC director,  has issued a challenge -  he will match every dollar contributed to the scholarship fund up to $500.00.  To make Jerry’s Challenge more interesting, the Syracuse Track Club will transfer $500.00 of its monies into the fund if the $500.00 challenge is met.  Thus each dollar donated to the fund can become three dollars resulting in a $1,500.00 addition to our scholarship monies.
YES, I ACCEPT THE SCHOLARSHIP CHALLENGE.

Enclosed is my donation for $____________ in response to the Jerry Scholder $500 matching challenge for the Constantino Scholarship fund
