All-time table Saar 1st level 1948/49-1950/51
During 3 seasons (1948/49 - 1950/51) Saar play separately from Germany. The
best team, 1. FC Saarbrücken, decided not to play in the league, instead their
2nd team joined. From the 1951/52 season the Saar region joined the German
structure. The facts for this table have been taken from the F-archiv website.
But their claim that 1. FC Saarbrücken (the first team) joined the league for
the 1950/51 season is erroneous according to the 1. FC Saarbrücken website which
only list games in the Saarland pokal that season. Number of wins, draws and
losses are missing from the tables I have used. 2 points for a win. From left to
