About the IMFL

The league was formed in 1998 after friendly competition between
two guys in Ipswich (Qld, Australia) who first met in 1997 through EA Sports Multi-player database. The League has now grown to six
members and is currently seeking new members in Brisbane and
Ipswich. All players seek the holy grail of Ipswich the "Coal Bowl"
Madden trophy. The trophy name is synonymous with Ipswich which has a strong background history in the mining of coal.

This league includes both standard and custom teams including the draft, weather, injury losses and ground conditions.

All players must abide the rules as set down by the Commissioners.

IMFL COMMISSIONERS

Bevan Baker is 30yrs of age, a primary school teacher by occupation who's pride and joy is Houston now Tennessee Oilers.  His favourite players in the NFL include Ernest Givens, the small wide receiver (now retired), Warraen Moon and the legendary Barry Sanders.  He currently plays rugby league for the Booval Swifts and his passion in the Australian League are the Cronulla Sharks.  he enjoys playing PC games such as Diablo and of course Madden 97.  His favourite food is seafood, the drink is bourbon and the most favourite of all people in his life is his family.  Bevan's responsibilities for the IMFL include maintaining statistics, management of drafts and forwarding end of round reports to players via the internet.  He is the current Coach of the Booval Swifts in the Madden 97 League.

Steve Embelton is 37yrs of age, a police officer by occupation with a family of three.  His main interests are Madden 97, Madden 98, Madden 99 and general war gaming and the Carolina Panthers.  His most favourite NFL players are QB Doug Flutie and Tim Biakabutuka.  He currently is a strong  supporter of the Newcastle Knights in the Australian Rugby League
competition.  Steve's responsibilities  include the management of this web site.  He is the current coach of the Ipswich Rhinos in the Madden 97 League.
