| Money and ego have taken a good bit of fun out of sports. Giving a kid millions of dollars coming out of college when he's never dribbled a ball or swung a bat before in the pros is ridiculous - let them show us they can take that next step first. And we the average fan are about to be priced out of the ballpark - I can remember $2.00 bleacher seats less than twenty years ago. Whaever happened to playing for the love of the game? These guys nowadays have to be motivated by their coaches and managers to just do their jobs unless it's a contract year. And more opinions will be forthcoming. |
