Hi Everybody! Welcome to the homepage of the National University Of Singapore (NUS) Dragonboat Varsity Team. New to dragonboating? Then come on in and take a tour. Here you would find out more about dragonboating as a sport as well as our activity in NUS.
Dragonboating is a team sport that is fast gaining popularity among the people in Singapore. There are many club teams in Singapore. Besides the club teams, some organizations and companies also have their own dragonboat teams. This is because dragonboat is a team sport and it allows many people to participate at the same time. There are also many school teams and more and more students are joining dragonboating as one of their ECAs. Every year during the Singapore River Regatta (usually held in mid-September), all the club teams and school teams would meet and compete in dragonboat racing.

We are a varsity team representing NUS. If you are a student of NUS, then you are most welcome to join the team. We represent NUS in some of the major races in Singapore. Our Mission
We seek to encourage and promote the widest participation in dragonboating among the student population in NUS. In addition, we seek to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, fairplay and comradeship in all members of the team, and to foster a special quality of friendship among students from different faculties through meeting the challenges that dragonboating present. We also hope to be able to educate the public more about dragonboating and to encourage more people to take up dragonboating as one of their favorite sport.
