Evander is one of the greatest. He has fought great compettion and come back after losses that would have ended careers. It is hard to rate men from one era to another, but if you break it down. Hand speed,power,stamina,heart,etc. Anyone who knows boxing as to put Evander at the top of the all time greatest!

My favorite boxer is Andrew Gołota. First time I have heard of him, was after the Seul olympic Games, when Andrew won the bronze medal, but I wasn't his fan yet. In the next few years he was forced to leave Poland, and he went to USA. But, what surprised e, he didn't became an American, he's fighting with Polish passport. I started to like him then, but I still wasn't concerned if he is able to fight and win with the best... All was changed after the first Gołota-Bowe... I became a fan of one of the great st (in my opinion) boxers ever. Gołota was supposed to be something like "training-dummy" for Riddick, who was believed then to be the best heavyweight in the world. And then... Gołota dominated, destroyed and outclassed RIDDICK BOWE, the same Riddick Bow who won two of his three fights with "Real Deal". No offense, really, I think that Holyman is one of the best, but those are facts. And if there wasn't that foul, Gołota surly would have won. Then it was the revenge, with thesimiliar result and the Gołot -Lewis fight, which Andrew lost by knockout in the first round... I can't understand that. It propably was too big stress for him. Then he fought six times, each one was a win... until the fight with Michael Grant. It was damn fine performance of Gołota, ho knocked him down two times in the first round and gave him a god ass kickin' which he haven't got in his all life. Anyway, Lewis avenged Andrew not so long ago, destroying Grant in just two rounds. IMHO Gołota lost only one fight. With Lewis. But who says there won't be a rematch?

I feel that Evander Holyfield is a great fighter. Evander is as tough,If not tougher,than other champions of the past with the exception of ALI,FRAZIER AND LARRY HOLMES. I feel that Ali and Holmes could have beaten Holifield because of their natural skills and superior hand and foot speed, I also feel t at Frazier might be the only fighter that might actually be tougher and more durable than Holifield and would have possibly either stop him or ko him late in the fight. I think in the last 40 years you can rank the heavyweight boxers as follows,if they fought each other in their prime. 1.Muhammad Ali. 2.Evander Holyfield. 3.Larry Holmes. 4.Lennox Lewis. 5.Mike Tyson. 6.Riddick Bowe. 7.George Foreman. 8.Joe Frazier. 9.Kenny Norton. 10.Sonny Liston. I think Ali and Evander in their prime can beat any of the above boxers.They both are simply superb heavyweight boxers,with great boxing skills,good brains,good physical strength and above all both men have great faith in the Almighty God.I think both men derive their strength from their respective faiths. I think if Ali and Holyfield fought each other in their prime for 3 fights,Ali would have won the first fight by a good margin,Evander would have won the second fight by a small margin, Ali would have won the third fight by a small margin. Ali was just a bit better than holyfield because of his great footwork.Otherwise I dont think anyone else can beat holyfield in his prime except Muhammad Ali. Favourite boxer is james Buster douglas, he looked sensational in his 6 wins of his comback and has forgatten more than lennox Lewis knows about crisp accurate boxing. He had flu going into the Saverese fight and has had 2 first round ko's since. talk of second Tyson fight fell apart, i think buster would kick mike's ass again, he's beaten him up once and he will do again. buster douglas has to be the biggest waste of talent in the history of the sport, he had the natural ability to be an alltime great. f you wanted a textbook example of the perfect heavyweight, the Douglas of 1990 is it. I was always a fan of Evander Holyfield because of his attitude towards life. But, because I am Canadian I have always appreciated the proud representation of Lennox Lewis. When I heard they were fighting I was overjoyed, I thought it would be the fight o the decade. But it was obvious that Lennox had won and Don King had fixed it. After Lennox had won at the rematch I felt proud to be a Canadian, but I felt sorry because such a great hero had lost.

Guess what "Real Deal" fans! Evander is going to attempt to be the 1st 4-time Heavyweight Champion. This could mean a 3rd match against Lewis. Let's face it, Evander is a competitor with a strong body and mind. Yes, he's been in many wars and he's not get ing any younger, but he can still beat most if not all the "Top" heavyweights out there. Let's face it, the 2nd Lewis fight could have gone either way. I don't think the 2nd Lewis fight made Evander look bad at all. Lenox is 6'5",250lbs,w/ 85" reach, and right hand from hell.(He should be killin' people!)Evander will be back very soon (May 2000) so get ready to see him beat some more "GOOD" fighters.

Evander is the best heavyweight since Ali. Tyson fans don't seem to realize that he (Tyson) only fights bums. Tyson has paid off many top notch fighters to step aside so that he could fight a bum. Most of the people inside boxing know "The Real Story". Yo can say whatever you want about Holyfield; the guy hasn't ducked anyone or paid anyone off. Ali had several poor performances in his career. Ali has been knocked down on several occasions and he's lost his share of fights,but he's still considered "The G eatest". When you fight the BEST competition, you're gonna lose some;you're gonna get knocked down. Tyson fans don't see past that tough-guy image, I DO. Tyson's Confidence has been SHOT ever since the Douglas fight.(IT'S TRUE!!) I've never in my life see a fighter have as many tune-up bouts as Tyson. The guy is supposed to so tuff and bad that he fights Tillman(wow),Mathis(wow),McNeely(ooh),Seldon(set-up....phantom punch),Bruno(wow!1st bout was a massacre....2nd bout was a set-up massacre),Norris(ooh),Fr ncis(now this guy was really tuff!:) ), Tony Tubbs(way to go Mike!), "Buster" Douglas(fought in Tokyo because no one in the U.S. would pay to see it.....wow, Tyson get's his ass KO'd.) TO TYSON FANS: When Tyson had "Tha Belts" he and King made sure that ike fought guys who had no chance. Tyson was KEPT AWAY from FOREMAN,HOLYFIELD,BOWE,LEWIS,MOORER,MERCER,and RUDDOCK. WHY??? (because there was a good chance that these guys would beat him and that's a fact) Between 1988-91 Team Tyson came up w/reason afte reason why the Holyfield fight wouldn't take place. The 1st bout was postponed due to Tyson's flu-like symptoms(yeah right),2nd fight postponed due to a rib injury sustained by Tyson while doing sit-ups in training.(hahahaha..yeah right)After Tyson's ri heals, he RUNS to TOKYO for a TUNE-UP fight vs who? (BUSTER DOUGLAS). Holyfield is sitting at ringside with a $12,000.000 contract in his hand waiting for Tyson to make short work of Douglas,and guess what happens?(hahahahahahahaha) Evander has always kn wn he could whip Tyson from long ago,that's why he eagerly gave Tyson A rematch after the 1st TKO!!! After the 2nd Rd of the 2nd fight Tyson knew he wasn't going to KO Evander;we all knew Tyson wouldn't go the distance(as Evander could),and he wasn't goin to get KOd again in front of millions of people. Instead of fighting and possibly getting KOd,he decided to get tossed. Mills Lane warned him of DQ after the 1st bite,so he bit Evander again,and attempted to once more.(BIG COWARD!!) TYSON FANS: TYSON WI L NOT FIGHT THE FOLLOWING FIGHTERS-------Lewis,Holyfield,Mercer,Foreman,Tua,Ibeabuci,Grant,Golata,Bowe,Moorer,Isonritae,or Rahman, or Byrd. I know you think Tyson can beat all those guys,right? As long as you Tyson fans pay top dollar to see him fight BUM ,why should he risk getting his ass kicked in a "REAL" contest? I'm out! See ya!

my favorite boxer happens to be the one and only IRON MIKE TYSON!! I happen to feel he will definetely become champion for a third time. He can easily defeat Lewis; with his power and speed and Lewis's poor defense and glass chin!! I believe he could have beaten holyfield had he been properly prepared, both times. Tyson has the potential to become the next Ali after his retirement with the fan base following. the stature Ali now holds could be placed on Tyson in the future. Since the first Tyson fight, olyfield hasn't put forth a good performance. the second fight; Tyson was winning the third round with Evander missing badly. Had the fight continued, Tyson surely would have taken over. The second Moorer fight, Moorer was winning with his jab and sout paw style and he could have won if he was able to take a punch. The Bean fight; Holyfield was just horrible just like in previous defenses of his first reign. Same with the two Lewis fights; Evander could not overcome his problem with the bigger guys. e hardly threw any punches and what was with that third round prediction? Tyson, now with a good trainer in Tommy Brooks, will definetely beat Holyfield if a rubber-match ever materializes. OH! and not to mention, Holyfield's performanced leading to the Tyson fight. Some people feel that Evander is not an exiting fighter. I beg to differ. "Real Deal" fights to the level of his competition,hence 90% of his foes are pretty darn good. Most(well lots)of people who watch boxing don't understand the science of the sport. A l they see are two guys trying to knock each other out. They don't understand that good fighters set foes up for KOs with jabs and combos off the jabs. Fighters like Liston,Forman,and Tyson spoiled many fight fans with their vicious KOs. What many fans do ,t take account of is the fact that 90% of their opponents were underskilled and scared to death. With this in mind ,of course there are going to be some awe-inspiring KOs. I would love to see Evander KO everyone, but that's very unrealistic considering t e competition he faces; Mercer(never been KOd),Bowe(never been KOd),Lewis(1KO),Foreman(1KO over 20yrs ago),Holmes(1KO),Moorer(1KO),Bean(never been KOd),Cycz(never been KOd). Get the picture? No other heavyweight's resume' rivals Evander's not even Ali's! Evander(unlike most)doesn't have a "Bum of Tha Month" club. When you fight TOP NOTCH competition all the time,you're not going to KO a high % because of their abilities,desire,and will to win. Evander's career reminds me of a scene from the movie "Predato ". The scene where the Predator waxes the skulls of his fallen foes and adds them to his collection. Evander has a pretty fine collection of (BIG NAMED)skulls.

When you consider the level of "Greatness" in a boxer, you must have some criteria such as that boxer's abilities,character,determination,and most importantly, OPPOSITION. Evander has fought and BEATEN some of the best fighters in Heavyweight history! He s beaten Holmes,Forman,Bowe,Cycz,and Tyson(twice).Evander is the best fighter in Cruiserweight history!! Hands down!! The guy moves up to Heavyweights and gains the Title 3 times! Tyson's resume' is nowhere near Holyfield's. All Tyson fans ever talk about are KOs. Most anyone could KO Tyson's foes. Fans of Tyson should demand to see him fight some Top 5 fighters and watch him get his cowardly ass kiccked AGAIN!!!

Evander is my "All-Time" favorite fighter. I've always been impressed w/his work ethic and drive to be the best(by FIGHTING the best).Tyson has never had the DESIRE nor CONFIDENCE to compete against his TOP peers. I'm 27 and I started watching Evander in 19988 or 89. He wasn't knocking everyone out, but he was landing tons of blistering combos. Sometimes 15 shots at a time!! None of Evander's foes were afraid of him at all; they all wanted to knock his block off.(unlike Tyson's foes) I always knew that Evander would not only beat Tyson,but destroy him. Tyson wouldn't fight Mercer,Foreman,Bowe,Moorer,or Lewis. The only reason he fought Ruddock was because he had to as an "Elimination" match. Tyson has always been a "Joke" to me. Nice punching power,but o gutts. Mike needs to fight Tua or Grant or Ibeabuchi or Mercer or Golota; not Norris,Francis,Bruno,Mcneely,Botha, Mathis,or Seldon,or Tillman. I can almost promise that Mike WILL NOT fight Lewis!!!!!!

Holyfield is the fittest heavyweight to be crowned champion. This coupled with his agility and ability to work the ring whilst putting quick and powerful combinations together; make him a hard boxer to contain and defeat. However, Holyfield is getting old r and his history of drawn out fights in the heavyweight division is starting to take a toll on his body. In Holyfield v Lewis II, Lewis fought the perfect fight to strip Holyfield of the WBA/IBF Titles. He stayed on the outside, peppering Holyfield with unches that did damage where it hurt the most: the scorecard. Hollyfield is a great warrior but if he boxes one of the Klitschko´s he has now chance to beat one of them. Hollyfield should never box again because he is too old. If he now ends his carreer he is the great champion. He has done a great job against Lewis so there is nothing to shame for. I´m very afraid what comes next. The Klitschko´s will rule but I don´t like them very much. Both never developed a great defense but they have a great punch. Paul, Regarding the Raiders. I played football with Steve Wiesnewski (Pro bowl Guard). Slammed him to the ground numerous times.
