For I am a prism

For I am a prism

by Kenneth E. Martin

For I am a prism, a reflection of light sent to color your world, a beam of hope, ever present as the glint in your eye as you lookout upon the night, at the stars high above and so far away.

I catch your gaze, perhaps for only a moment, and then you look away, but the sparkle always attracts the eye. In spite of what maybe going on around you or however deep in thought you may be. I am that flicker of light that watches over you that you catch sight of from time to time.

Even through the depths of darkness as one sleeps, first a flicker and then a thought, the light unfolds into a dream where anything is possible and there for the taking. I follow you through out each day …..Look for me, I am there just behind all the things you do so routinely ….just pause a moment and look around.

Embrace the quite and listen to the wind, feel the warmth of the sun…the world is so grand and big that the precious things some times get passed by with just one step. Lift the pedal of a young flower as the morning mist nourishes and gives it life there inside is where I live born of love and gentle things.

For I am a prism, a reflection of light sent to color your world, a beam of hope, ever present as the glint in your eye as you lookout upon the night, at the stars high above and so far away.
