Profiles of the Players
Brian
- His theory is "spread the wealth". He gets the entire team involved. He has very few, if any, statistical leaders, but always has a winning team. This season he has turned up the defense a notch. His nemesis is Herschel Walker. Luck usually seems to be on his side.
Jason
- He wrote the text book on Run and Shoot Passing. He regularly passes for 350+ yards a game. Other league members often just stare at some of his plays and say "wow". His passing game was once thought at unstopable, but that myth has faded som what. Brian's defense creates problems for Jason's one-sided attack. His running game is always near the bottom of the league, but is good enough that opponents have to respect it. His defense has good days and then it also had bad days. He weill always be one of the early favorites to win the Super Bowl. In game terms, he is approximately a 50 year veteran, yet has no luck at all.
After a shocking upset in the Divisional Round of Season I, Jason rebounded with a 19-0 season to win Tecmo Bowl II
Mike
- He plays a perfect example of "helter skelter" offense. There is no telling exactly what he is going to do. He gives opponents fits. More often than not he ends up throwing it deep. His team always seem prone to injuries. On defense he is likely to give up 2 or 3 big plays a game. This may haunt him in the playoffs. (This has been proven in seasons #1 and #2)
Andrew
- He is a rookie. Not much is really known yet. It seems that he has the potential of having a good passing attack. He is likely to give up on the run real quick. His defense creates problems. He could be a force to be reckoned with, somehow. it is safe to say that this guy has ALL the luck you could possibly have. It all caught up with him late in season #2.
This guy has also been known to have a temper tantrum now and then. He's the whole reason that season rule #11 has been instituted. (Link to League Rules) It's really a challenge to watch him play. Honestly, he's the reason behind rule #9 also. It's only a matter of time until there's a major confrontation of some kind.
Brian #2
- Another rookie to the SNES game. He has had lots of experience with the NES version though. He is stepping up to where the big boys play now. Not much is known about his game. He looks to have a lot of promise. After season #1, we should have a better idea about his game. He could end up like the '68 Jets, upseting everyone.
He took the upstart Lions and won Tecmo Bowl I
Big Nate
- There is really no telling what this character is capable of. Claims that he's never played the game before but will give it a shot "because it's free". We are not sure if this is an act, but knowing him like we do, he'll probably just come out there with out a clue. If nothing else it will be interesting to watch.
(he got tossed from the league, see the weekly update in week #2)
