I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Aussie rules football links here in the US. After surfing on the net for an hour (actually trying to find the date for the Grand Final in Melbourne), I have been amazed at the interest here. I'm from Perth, Western
ustralia, but have been living in California for the past 7 years. My only link to football has been on the net and family (no, I don't have cable). Anyway, thanks for the site, I'm a die-hard (female) Aussie rules fan (we do exist)!

I am a new USA citizen having married one of the locals back in June. We live in NC.
Previous to that I was very involved in our local league and never missed an Eagles game when they played at home.
I was so thrilled when this page came up on a search.

Although, I'm a Dockers fan, I'm an aussie rules fan too. I actually followed the West Coast Eagles before the Dockers started. I also follow the Washington Redskins in the NFL, so any team that represents Washington gets my full support.

I was stoked when I found out that there was a team in DC. Ive been living in Alexandria Va. since January 98 and I've been having withdrawal symptoms for footy since the pre-season started.
I will defininately be a supporter of the team and see the games when played here and more than likely, I'll rock up at a couple of the training sesions.

Congratulations on establishing in the US the truly greatest sport Aussie Rules Footy. I am from Perth, Western Australia home of the West Coast Eagles, and although I 'root' for, and always will, Carlton, I still have closely followed the progress of the
West Coast Eagles and I hope that you are as successful as they have been in the last 7 or so years.
