(The 1999 - 2000 Season)

Kickers, Kickers ... Hear Ye, Hear Ye ... you have quite a reputation to uphold this year.  Read what some of your peers are saying about you.  And remember the comments are unsolicited, unedited and most likely unprecedented.

The League (An Early Start)

Follow us through the years:

The Kickers Do It Again!
"A 3-Peat"
and as usual - with NGP*

Not only do the Kickers claim victory for the third successive year in Atlanta, but team member
Teddy Anderson created his own bit of history by scoring the winning goal as he did in
last year's nail biter.  This time his goal was the only one in the game.
And how's this for a little bit of irony.  One of the new Kickers players, Jarrett Bourgeois, had
moved from South Carolina to Tampa, Florida in July and the team he played for in
South Carolina was - you guessed it - St. Giles - the team they played in the final!

Super Y (October 1999)

The Kickers were invited to play two games in the Super Y league when they filled in for a team that was unable to attend the round that was held in the Tampa Bay area.  In the game against the San Antonio Hammers the score was 3 - 3, while against the Dallas Heat the Kickers won handsomely with a 4 - 1 score.

April 2000 - The Countryside Easter Tournament.

The team played three games - won one and lost two and therefore did not advance.
vs. Town & Country:  won 3 - 0
vs. FC Delco (from PA):  lost 1 - 2
vs. Clearwater Chargers: lost 3 - 4

Clearwater Chargers eventually lost to NOSA in the final.

For those who may have missed it,  this article appeared in the St. Petersburg Times
while the team was at the Southern Regionals in Oklahoma in June 1999.
