Comments: I am just getting ready to start teaching a form of non-traditional gymnastics in the small town I live in. I think this is a great system of learning and teaching kids. I was a gymnast myself, and have taught traditional gymnastics; however, I don't ha e any equipment and like non-traditional better anyway. I have my masters in Dance therapy and have worked with kids and adults who have special needs for the last 13 years, and taught dance. I worked in Queens as an adaptive PE teacher years a o, and my leadership skills are good, but my lesson and activies needed a charge, thanks for the help. |

Comments: Great site! I've just taken a quick walk through and will need to come back when I have more time. I was schooled in traditional/olympic gymnastics and in the past 5 or so years have been gradualy changing to an almost entirely educational gymnastic appr ach to my teaching. This is a very difficult thing for a gymnast to do!!! But for the best of ALL the children I believe it is what should be done. (My coaches would be standing so straight if they heard me speak:)!) But I know I would eventually win them over. I'll be back. |

Comments: This site is timely as my German teaching colleague has relayed to me that "...a renaissance of new gymnastics models is emerging." in Germany! "Adventure Gymnastics" was one he mentioned. Apparently,the idea of other "non-traditional" forms makes sense o more than just those visiting this site. Is an American renaissance emerging??? We'll see. Keep up the good work. |

I have gone back to the beginning and have modified artistic gymnastics and blended it with circus, rock climbing and dance so that all children are able to b nefit both physically and psychologically from the feeling you get of being a master of your body. |
