Rufus Hall Experience!
Welcome! To those of you not familiar with the Rufus Hall, let me welcome you and say good luck understanding. The Rufus Hall "Legend" began on July 5th 1998 at Fairmont State College's Pence Hall. One hallway full of 16 year old guys met that day not knowing about the ride they were in for called GSA. First, a background on GSA. The West Virginia
Governors School for the Arts was established in 1993 as a Summer program
for the best young artists in West Virginia. Five disciplines were
involved. Theatre, Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Visual Arts and
Dance. This program ran at Fairmont State College from July 5th to
the 25th until 1998. In 1999 the program will be moved to Marshall
University.
Who is the Rufus Hall? The Rufus Hall is made up of our Resident Assistant (R.A.) Adam "Rufus" Jones; The GSA Students: Drew Harris, Adrian Slider, John Mallory, Richard "Dick" Neeley, Jonathan Rundle, Anniruddha "Rudy" Logan, Chad Kimbler, Curtis Grantham, John James, Adam Leasure, and Adam Booth. Why do you care? I dont really know...You are here arent you?? Either you were a member of GSA '98, or a R.H.S.'er, or someone from the "Other Hallway." Rufus Hall Experience! I cant expect you to understand just how great of an experience GSA was. It forever changed our lives. If you hope to go to GSA '99 this site may give you an idea how great of an experience GSA really is. GSA far exceeded my expectations and it was more than I had hoped for. Enjoy.
