"She felt dizzy so Matthew got me and then she just fainted." Colleen quickly said between sobs.

"How long has she been unconscious?" Andrew asked putting the stethescope in his ears.

"Umm, a couple minutes.. what's wrong Andrew?" Colleen looked at her husband.

"I don't know yet, but lets just hope nothing serious," He gave his wife a look.

Sully got done with his surveying job early so he was sent home. He quickly rushed home. He missed Michaela the entire time he was away and worried about her. He made the horse go as fast as it could. Sully didn't want to be away from Michaela another minute. The homestead came into view and Sully smiled. Michaela would be so surprised. As quietly as he could he put the horse in the corral and walked up the porch of the house he made with his own hands for Michaela. He turned the knob and slowly opened the door. No one was around.

"Probably, upstairs," he thought. Sully quickly shut the door and started to ascend the stairs. He walked to the door to their bedroom and peaked in. Michaela wasn't there. "Where could she be, it's well enough past 3." he thought. He decided to call and see if anyone was home.

"Michaela? Brian?" Sully yelled.

Brian walked out of his room with Katie, tears in his eyes. Sully's smile faded and fear came into his eyes.

"Brian, what's wrong?" Sully asked as he put a hand on Brian's  shoulder.

"It's...it's ma.. she.. the baby..I don't know what happened!" Brian cried.

"Brian, stay here with Katie, I have to go and check on your ma. She'll be alright. Don't worry," Sully said as he ran downstairs and out the door. He feared the worst. "Please no, don't let this happen to me again!" Sully cried as wind hit his face while riding on the horse. He got into town faster than he ever did before and ran into the clinic.

"Colleen??" Sully yelled.

"Sully?!?!" Colleen exclaimed with surprise. "Thank God you're here! She's upstairs." And with that Sully ran up to the recovery room almost knocking Andrew down.

"Sully!" Andrew said.

"Is.. she ok, what happened?" Sully quickly asked.

"As far as I can tell, the baby is fine. Michaela still hasn't woken up and that bothers me. She fainted, but I don't have any idea what caused it. Don't worry Sully I will tell you if I find anything out as soon as I can. The only thing you can do right now is stay with her. Maybe that will cause her to wake up," Andrew instructed Sully.

Sully walked into the recovery  room. Michaela was still unconscious. He pulled up the rocking chair and sat down right next to Michaela.  "Michaela, I'm here. Ya gotta wake up, the baby needs you, I need you. I love ya Michaela. Wake up." Sully started to cry. He knew something like this would happen if he left. Now it would be all his fault. If he hadn't gone away nothing would happen. He held her hand and fell asleep staring at her. A little while later Sully woke up when he heard movement.

"Michaela?" Sully asked hoping she was awake.

"Su...Sully? Wha..what happend? Why are you home?" She asked weakly as the candlight hit her eyes.

"Ya fainted and were out for a couple of hours. I came home to surprise you, and Brian told me what happened." Sully explained to her.

She quickly placed her hand on her stomach to make sure everything was alright. "the baby?" She asked fearfully.

"Everythin's fine. The baby is healthy and you're awake. I'm gonna get Andrew to make sure yer ok." He said as he ran out of the room and yelled for Andrew who bolted up the steps.

"Michaela, you're awake! How are you feeling?" Andrew quickly asked as he put the stethescope into his ears once more.

"Tired, a little weak. What's wrong with me Andrew?" Michaela asked her son-in-law.

"I think you just exhausted yourself, but I can't be positive. Usually when someone faints, they awake a couple minutes later. But, because of your condition, I think that is what delayed it. I want you to stay here a couple of days in bed. No working or getting out of bed. I want to make sure that you are ok." Andrew instructed his patient.

"I'll make sure she stays in bed. I don't want anythin to happen to her or the baby," Sully replied as he looked at Michaela.

"Alright. Well Colleen and I will stay here tonight, if you need anything just call. But for now, get some rest. I think that is the best for you and the baby." With that Andrew walked out of the room and closed the door.

"I'm sorry Michaela, I shouldn't have left. I knew something like this would happen if I went away. I'm so sorry," Sully said sincerely.

"Oh Sully, it's not your fault. You were doing something to help out the family. I should have taken it alot easier, but I guess I still haven't learned my lesson. We could've lost the baby." Michaela said with tears filling her eyes.

"Michaela, it's alright. We didn't lose the baby. You're both healthy and I'm here. I'm not leaving ya ever again and I'm gonnna take good care of ya, make sure this turns out perfectly." Sully said as he placed a kiss  on her hand. "I don't want anything to happen to the baby or you," he added as he placed his hand on her stomach.

Michaela put her hand ontop of Sully's and kissed him. "Thank you Sully. I want this to turn out perfect.. I don't know if.." She started as she cried.

"Don't think about the bad things..only good. The baby's healthy and that's all that matters," Sully said he stared into her eyes and softly kissed her.

Michaela smiled as she remembered those same words that Sully said to her right before Katie was born. She loved him so much and was thankful that he was back home safe and sound.

"Get some sleep Michaela. Ya gotta rest." Sully wispered. to her as he wrapped his arms around her.

"Sully, come sleep in bed with me. Hold me. I don't want to be alone in a bed for another night. I missed you." Michaela told him as he quickly got onto the other side of the bed and held her close. The both fell asleep in each others arms, knowing that everything would be ok.
