The month passed quickly for Michaela. She felt wonderful, no more morning sickness or anything. You could tell that she was pregnant because her stomach was showing alot now. She knew everything was going well and she hoped to keep it that way. Sully was always there to help her when he thought she was overdoing it. She loved him for that. No matter how bad Michaela felt, Sully always was there to cheer her up. Colleen helped out alot by looking after Katie when Michaela rested and also preparing meals. Andrew looked after the clinic on the days Michaela hadn't felt well or was just so tired. Everyone in the family wanted to make it easy for Michaela.

Michaela was sleeping in the bed that Sully had made with his hands as a wedding gift for Michaela, when Sully walked into the bedroom. He paused and looked at his sleeping wife. He looked her bulging stomach which made his smile grow huge. Sully walked up to the edge of the bed and placed his hand on her stomach.

"And how are my two favorite people doing this morning?" He asked with a grin as Michaela jerked from sleep.

Michaela turned around and kissed his warm lips. She placed her hand over his that was laying on her rounded stomach, "Well rested, thanks to papa." Michaela smiled at him.

"Good. I was hoping you could get some sleep. You have been so tired lately,"Sully told her as he helped her up out of bed. It was starting to get difficult for her to get out of bed by herself.

"That's nothing to be expected, just wait a couple more months and then I won't get any sleep!" Michaela said with a grin.

"Well, if yer planning to go to the clinic today, I have everything all set. Brian took Katie over by Colleen so its just you and me here." He informed her as he walked over to the vanity to grab her hair brush.

"Well, if its just you and me, I think we should have the most of the time we have by ourselves. Who knows how long it will be before we can do something together again?" She asked with love in his eyes.

"How about we spend the day here? We could talk, read some poetry, have a picnic, or just have some fun," Sully said with fire in his eyes.

"I think that would be great," Michaela kissed him. The kiss grew deeper and deeper until they couldn't hold back the feelings they had for each other.

"Michaela, it is alright?!" Sully asked with fear in his voice.

"Yes, Sully. It's more than alright. I want you, I need you!" Michaela sighed and they rolled over on the bed to satisfy both of their feelings of love for one another.

"Hey Ma! Sully!" Brian greeted Michaela and Sully who were sitting by the fire reading some poetry. Michaela was sitting in the wing back chair while Sully was sitting Indian style facing her and rubbing her stomach.

"Hello, Brian," Michaela greeted him as he rose from the chair and took Katie from his arms. "How was your day?" She asked while placing a kiss on Katie's forehead.

"Great, Ma. We have to do this project and I'm paired up with Sarah, she said I could come over and work on it tonight. Can I Ma?

"
May I, and yes you may, as long as you are back before its dark."

"Thanks I will be back sometime after supper." Brian said running out the door.

"I never knew someone to be so enthusiastic to do school work!" Michaela said with a grin.

"I think he has somethin else on his mind, just like someone else I know who used to be just as happy to find her husband because she "missed" him." Sully told her with  his eyes gleaming with sarcasim

Michaela turned beat red. No matter how much Sully joked about it, he still managed to make her become embarrest.

Colleen was straightening up the clinic a week later when Michaela walked in.

"Good Morning, Colleen!" Michaela said with a smile as she set Katie in the crib to play.

"Mornin' ma. How are you feeling today? Colleen greeted her.

"I'm fine. Thank you for watching the clinic this morning. It's becoming difficult to get myself up early in the morning anymore. I'm just so tired in the morning."

"That's normal, ma. It means the baby is growing and is healthy. Besides, I don't mind helping out. I want to do what ever I can to help. I want everything to work out for you Ma. You and Sully deserve this baby so much." Colleen told her sincerely.

"Colleen, thank you for coming and doing this. Without your help I don't think it would've been possible. You're not that little girl that I once knew! You're becoming a very wise woman!" Michaela told her daughter with tears in her eyes and hugged her.

"Thanks to you, I am what I am today. I have grown up the way I learned how."

"But you have Charolette to thank for that, I only helped."

"Yes, but I think I have learned the most from you. You're my ma now, and no one can say otherwise."

"Oh Colleen," Michaela exclaimed as her tears fell down her face. "What could I do without your help? I love you so much!"

"I love ya too, Ma. Without your help I wouldn't have ever dreamed of becoming a doctor, but I'm fulfilling that dream, and I have a husband, and a family, even a baby sister and another brother sister! I couldn't think of any other way I want my life to be!" Colleen informed her.

"Neither could I Colleen, neither could I," Michaela looked into Colleen's eyes. They looked at each other for a moment thinking of how blessed they were to have each other. "Well, I think we should get back to work or nothing will be done!" Michaela laughed as she wiped the last of the tears from her cheeks.

"I think so to, Ma. We have to get you out of here by three!" Colleen answered as she busied herself with folding strips of cloth.

Michaela smiled at her one last time and sat down near her desk to look over patient files. She rubbed her belly and pondered how blest this baby would be because of the loving family it was coming into.
