A few hours later, Sully and Michaela were sitting comfortably inside of a two door carriage. It was pitch black outside as the carriage strolled along the dusty street. An ominous silence filled the air. The only sound anyone could hear was the clopping of the horses hooves. The only light was that of the moon and street lamps. Inside the carriage Sully held Michaela close.

"I loved the opera Sully. Thank you!" Michaela looked up into  his deep blue eyes.

"I knew you would like it, but I think we otta be thankin' a certain Matthew, Ingrid, Colleen, and Brian for getting us those seats!"

"Sometimes, they really do surprise me!" Michaela laughed.

"Well, they really know how to keep a secret!" Sully smirked.

"Hmm.. yes.. and they know what we enjoy!" Michaela said lovingly as she thought about the children back in Colorado Springs.

"Doesn't this whole trip remind ya of something?" Sully looked down at a curious Michaela who was now deep in thought.

"Oh, you mean Boston?!" She asked somewhat curious yet surprised.

"Uh huh. The opera, dinner, fancy clothes, a carriage ride.." Sully listed some of the similarities.

"Yes I guess in a way it does. But back then, we didn't have a hotel room to ourselves. And you weren't my husband." Michaela looked at him passionately. "Except it will always hold a special place in my heart. It was then I found out how you truly felt about me."

Sully looked down adoringly. "It was so hard for me to come Michaela, but I knew had to.. something told me if I didn't... I could've lost you."

"But you didn't!" Michaela sat up slightly cupping his head in her hands. "You came and showed me who I truly loved. Who I was meant to be with." Her eyes shown with tears.

Sully took his hands and placed them over hers before leaning in to kiss her. All his worries melted away as he kissed her. Michaela was his wife now. They would be together "till death do you part". It gave Sully a sense of reassurance and love. He never loved someone so much as he loved Michaela. She filled him, she was his heartsong. He knew that fully now.

The kiss ended and Michaela leaned into Sully closely.

"Sully look at the star.. look at how bright that is!" Michaela exclaimed as she pointed out to the sky with her white laced gloved hand. Sully looked over to where she was pointing and smiled.

"Yes, Michaela.. I think you can see it from Colorado Springs. I bet they are looking at it right now." Sully hugged her. Michaela looked up and smiled. He knew what she was thinking all along.

"Brian! What are ya doing? We gotta get in ta bed!" Colleen scolded from the doorway of the homestead. "It's freezin' out here!"

Brian turned his head around to look at Colleen while the rest of his body leaned against the homestead railing. "Look Colleen! See the star?" Brian pointed upwards.

Colleen squinted and walked out of the homestead with her shawl wrapped tightly around her all the while looking up into the sky. "Yeah I do. It really is bright!"

"Do ya think Ma an' Sully can see it?" Brian asked honestly with a sense of sadness in his voice.

Colleen looked at her little brother and smiled before kneeling down to be his height. "Aww.. Brian. I'm sure they can see it. And I bet they are thinkin' about all of us right now!" Colleen ruffled Brian's hair.

"Really?" His eyes got big and glimmered.

"Well, we will find out when they get back. And they won't come back if ya never get to sleep!" Colleen smiled as she hoisted herself up to stand.

"Alright. I'm comin." Brian said before being led into the homestead where Colleen shut the door and secured the lock.

The carriage came to a slow hault infront of the hotel. The driver opened the door to the carriage so Sully could slowly get out. Sully quickly turned around and gave Michaela his hand to help her down. Michaela took it willingly and as carefully as she could, walked out the carriage.

"Thank you sir." Michaela told the driver.

"You're welcome mam, sir." The driver tipped his hat. "Have a good evening."

"Thank you." Sully nodded before holding out his arm for Michaela. She interlocked her arm in his and they walked into the now quiet hotel. Soon they were once again inside their hotel room with Sully no longer wearing his huge jaket and shoes, but instead the white undershirt and black pants. Michaela was in the bathroom changing from her dress.

"Sully?" She called from behind the closed door."Could you come here for a moment?"

Sully got up from the side of the bed with a confused look on his face. What would Michaela want? He couldn't possibly know.

"Michaela?" Sully rapped on the door. "What would ya...." Sully was cut off as the door was opened revealing a very underdressed Michaela in a very sexy neglogae. The same one her mother had given her for a bridal gift.

"Michaela?" Sully asked somewhat shocked. He never seen Michaela like
this.

"Do you like it? If you don't I can.. I can.. take it off." Michaela was becoming embarrest.

"Oh.. Michaela! No! I've.. I've  jest never seen ya.. like this!" Sully tried to reassure her. "I kinda like it." Sully took Michaela into his arms and gave her a kiss.

"Sully!" Michaela said passionatel between kisses. They slowly made their way to the bed and  caressed each other. Sully reached out his hand and dimmed the light so all that was shining was the one bright star in the sky.
