"Itsy-Bitsy Spider Picture"

To do this project you will need:

  • 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper
  • bendable straw
  • plastic spider ring
  • crayons
  • glue gun - for adult use

Have your child draw and color a picture of a house. When he/she is finished, use the hot glue gun to glue the straw on and that is going to be the "spout". First put the spider ring on the straw, and make sure to glue the straw on with the bendable side down( that makes it look like an eaves ). Glue at the top of the straw, and at the bottom, just above the bendable part. The kids will be able to move the spider up and down the spout when the glue is done cooling.

""Hand/Prayer Guide"

Trace your child's hand. Number each finger. Example: pinky=1, ring finger=2, and so on. Then use this list to label each finger:

  1. helping
  2. sharing
  3. forgiving
  4. praying
  5. working

The child can use his/her fingers to help them remember how they can show that they care. All of these examples are something your child can use his/her hands for.
