I n August of 1993, Elder & Mother Holmes with 4 children, Ikeeshia, Latwan, Luther III
and Jachael arrived in Germany with a vision from the Lord. They arrived in Babenhausen
after receiving assignments to both Mannheim and Berlin indicating that "the steps of a good man are
ordered by the Lord". They attended and joined the Gospel Service under the Pastorate of
Elder Larry Herron of Deliverance Jesus in Coming Ministries. Elder Holmes a second
generation Church of God in Christ member was obedient to the voice of the Lord saying "stand still".
It was not long afterwards that it would be that Elder Herron would receive instructions to
leave Germany. It would be the hand of the Lord that Elder & Mother Holmes was asked to
take charge of the service. After much prayer and fasting Elder Holmes heard the voice of
the Lord that spoke "This is to be a place of New Beginnings". When asked by the founder
of Deliverance Jesus in Coming to be credentialize under his leadership so that the service would remain
the same, Elder & Mother Holmes refused and held fast to the grand old Church of God in Christ.
The installation service was conducted by the 2nd Administrative Assistant Elder Billy
R. Stephens along with District One Superintendent Elder Leon Ross, Jr.
For 60 days Elder Holmes consecrated himself in prayer at 6 p.m. every evening before
the Lord for the success of the ministry. In that God would indeed make this place of "New
Beginnings". During this time the ministry and membership grew immensly with outporing of the
Holy Ghost.
Since its beginning, the church has crossed many hurdles and obstacles to get in a place
of favor with God. Many members have come and gone, but the Lord continued to bless his people.
The church has been involved in many outreach ministries throughout Germany from feeding the homeless to
performing at performing at various german churches.
The vision that the Lord has given to Pastor and Mother Holmes is "Preparing for the Harvest" and
with this vision the Lord allowed us to know it's time to go higher as we prepare for vision 2000.
The Lord has provided for great leadership under Elder & Mother Holmes and we are confident
the Lord will continue to bless and prosper our congregation as we are doing kingdom work.
Statement of Faith*
We Believe... the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written word of God.
We Believe... that there is One god: Eternally existent in Three Persons; God the Father
God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
We Believe... in the blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is
in Christ, at His return.
We Believe... that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and
faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being Baptized in water.
We Believe... that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We Believe... that the redemption work of Christ on the Cross provides helaing for the human body in
answer to "believing" prayer.
We Believe... that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4; is giving to believers who
ask for it.
We Believe... in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling, the Christian is
enabled to live a Holy and separated life in this present world. Amen.
