With the success of the NFL figures, Japanese companies began producing nodders for most major college teams of the sixties. The earliest were probably the toes up dolls with the shirt tails pulled out. These little guys are on green bases and some of my favorites because of all the color variations.

College football nodders cleaned up their image & tucked their shirt tails in about 1962. Like their predecessors, though, they are some of the most colorful & highly sought after dolls.
