About Me....
Hello. My name is Gibby I have created this web-page from whatever interested me at the time. I hope that it becomes a collection of useful information that people of all walks of life can find helpful or in some way inspirational. It is always under construction...kinda like life...and I hope that I can make it a good place for people to visit.
So I guess this is where I am supposed to tell you all about me huh? Well, that would be to conceited for me so I have decided to tell you about people who deserve recognition for the positive things they have given or shared with me that have made my life more complete and helped me learn things I would never have learned without their influence or their weaves through my life through their kindness, their thoughtful deeds, or just because they are who they are.
The first person that I would like to thank is Joani. She wanted to start a home page for the kids in her daycare, and everyone thought it would be a great idea. When she first started out she did not know much about building web pages, and neither did I but I had some books at the house that she borrowed and she jumped right in with both feet and soon started studying html code all the time. When I first saw her page I was so impressed with it that I asked her how she did it. She told me about Geocities, a small place on the web where people can create home pages for free. She suggested that I give it a try, so, I did. I have been hooked ever since. She has been a constant source of reference for me as well as encouragement. Her page was beautiful although it is no longer up. She even won an award for it. So, this is for Joani, for inspiring me and guiding me.
Secondly, I would like to thank my now ex-husband, Curtis. He was a huge influence in my life during the time we were married and without him I would not have accomplished as many things in my life as I have to date. He watched me go through the many changes that I have gone through over the years, and in his own way tried to encourage me to pursue my dreams and to accept new opportunities in my life. Although he is not a part of my life now, he was a big contributor of my interest in computers and in the web in general which led me to creating these pages, so for that reason, I have dedicated a little piece of my webpage to Curtis.
Thirdly, I would like to thank the friends that I have made along this path called life. Friends that have been there with me through good times and bad times, that have been true friends and have made such a impression in my life just by their presence that I cannot imagine my life with out them in it now. And, for those of you who know me, you know who you are so I don’t need to name names and make you all blush. But I am very grateful to all of the wonderful people that have passed through my life some of whom have moved on and some of whom are still close to me and all who have influenced me and inspired me. I have learned that it's important to cherish people, and this is my way of cherishing those persons who have come into my life as friends.
Fourthly, I would like to thank one little girl in particular, who's name is Merete. She has taught me so much about myself and about who I thought I was. I want to dedicate a piece of this page to the good times that we had, as friends, and to the memories that will last all my life. She will always be a part of my life in spirit, and have a place etched in of my heart. She is a remarkable person with a zest and vitality that is hard to match and I wish for her that she savor life and all the wonderful things that it has to give.
Fifthly, I would like to thank Dave. Dave is the most special person to me. When he hugs me I get the feeling that nothing in the world could ever hurt me. It's the kind of hug that you hope will never ever end. When he talks to me he is sincere, and honest. When he is with me he brings out the little kid in me, I feel happy and content with the world when ever he is around me. I am so blessed to have someone as special as Dave in my world and dedicate a piece of my webpage to him too.
Finally, but most importantly, I would like to thank my parents. They have dedicated their lives and given up a lot of things to raise me. I can never repay them for what they have given to me and continue to give to me, and for all they have given up for me. I hope that I never disappoint them and I hope I can live my life in a way that will make them glad for the sacrifices they had to make for me and happy that they made the choices they did in my behalf. So, to my parents I owe the most and have dedicated this page, in part, to them.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my page. Since it is always under construction, I encourage you to leave comments on what you think about it and anything you feel would be a benefit to others to have included here.
Thanks for taking the time to read this section and have a great time browsing!..
