The garden hose worked overtime that night with rinsing off, and all were left to drip-dry in their kennels, (thank goodness it's summer!) with the exception of the show-dogs who had to have a thorough bathing & drying off. We attended Pat Hastings' seminar "Puppy Puzzle". A very informative lecture indeed. This should be a "must see" for any aspiring judge and ALL current judges!! Has certainly altered the way we will be doing things in the future. Also found this MUST READ article pertaining to how certain dietary foods can have such a devastating effect on, not only our dogs, but also us humans. A subject which I am personally very interested in as I believe this has a direct correlation to the condition of some of my dogs throughout the decades, namely skin problems, neurological, immune, "bad" coat, suspected alopecia, thyroid, epilepsy, nutritional problems, etc. @ Hamilton Champ Show 7 & 8 March I suppose there is always a first in life for everything! On Sat, the judge from NSW, in his eagerness to award the winner of the Open dog class, totally "forgot" to examine the balance of that class! Go figure! Thankfully Mrs Harbin, his wife, did a thorough job the next day.
