Starkenburgh Keeshonden is located about 45 min driving time from Auckland City centre in rural countryside near a small town called Helensville.
It is situated on 8acres of pastureland dotted with shade trees, a pond and has its own 2 bedroom house for the dogs located about 40 metres from the main house.
The dogs are kenneled during the day in 2 huge outdoor kennels located under a bank of trees. When I am at home they have total freedom of the property until bedtime. Fortunately all my males & females get on well together, with very few minor squabbles occurring. The entire property is fenced and for added insurance is also surrounded with electric fencing--to combat any wise guy trying to escape.
The temperature all year round is very pleasant and cool (2-28 C) making it an ideal place to rear and show the Keeshond. There are no snakes, poisonous spiders or the like found in New Zealand.
I am a Marketing & Logistics Manager by profession. Getting to spend time with my dogs is therefore of prime importance to me.
