Ivey's Country Gardens is well-known for the quality of plants offered; we ensure this by growing all of the bedding plants that we sell. We control the rate of growth, amount of fertilizer and water, and prevent any problems that may arise. Every year we try to introduce the newest flowers to our ever-growing line, and we also grow the best of the old-time favorites. Ivey's is not only known for our annual bedding plants, but we are also famous for our perennials, herbs, hanging baskets, and vegetables. All of the plants we offer are selected for superior growth and hardiness. From seed to show, we grow a wide range of plants for all gardeners, whether you feel at home in a flower garden or a vegetable garden we have the plant for you!
The untold story of Ivey's is our full-time staff working in our greenhouses. They are always growing in their knowledge and experience and are the behind-the-scenes workers that make Ivey's Country Gardens a success. These dedicated employees are responsible for the upkeep of our greenhouse operations; they care for our four large commercial greenhouses and one retail greenhouse. Of the four commercial greenhouses, one is dedicated to perennials, one to bedding plants and vegetables, one to shade plants, and one to starting and transplanting seedlings. We give each plant in every greenhouse the proper attention that they require, and when the plants are old enough and large enough, we bring them to sell in our retail greenhouse. The plants that make Ivey's thrive start from being planted as a seed then germinated, transplanted, cultivated with the greatest care.
