A Message From Our President

Thank you for showing an interest in the Desk and Derrick Club of New Orleans which is comprised of a group of professional men and women employed in the petroleum and allied industries. Our membership consists of accountants, geological technicians, regulatory affairs specialists, administrative assistants, secretaries, president, and technical assistants. Our club is a part of the Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs consisting of numerous clubs in seven regions throughout Canada and the United States.

Why join the Desk and Derrick Club of New Orleans?

• Membership provides the opportunity to network with industry leaders and colleagues. Many of our members are members of NOGS, PLANO, COPAS, SGS and API Delta Chapter
• We offer a chance to acquire and improve on communication and leadership skills
• We learn how to work as valued members of a team by sharing knowledge and ideas to reach a common goal - "Greater Knowledge - Greater Service" We are provided the opportunity to learn about new energy industry technology through our informative monthly meetings, field trips and seminars
• We are active in our communities - from planting flowers to washing and painting school buildings and visiting children at hospitals We strive to be good neighbors
• If you are new to the industry, we can help you become knowledgeable concerning our industry making you a more valued employee
• If you like to travel, we have a region meeting in the spring and a convention in the fall. We have held our conventions in such cities as San Francisco; Dallas; Denver; Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you wish to attend one of our monthly meetings. We meet the second Wednesday of every month with the exception of July.
