MISSION BAY TENNIS CENTER RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.      Proper Tennis Attire Required on the Courts at all Times: Tennis shorts and skirts, dresses, collared shirts or tennis T-shirts and flat-soled tennis shoes are considered proper attire. Players improperly dressed or without a shirt WILL NOT be allowed on the tennis courts. Please remember that it is your responsibility to inform your guests about the dress code.

                                                                             

2.      Court Reservations: Members may reserve a court up to three (3) days in advance. When any given reservation time is canceled due to inclement weather, the reservation does not extend past the original time. The Tennis Pro Shop Staff will determine when the courts are safe to play. All club tournaments and functions will take priority over court bookings. The Pro Shop is not responsible for court reservations left on voicemail. It is the member’s responsibility to call back to confirm the reservation. The Pro Shop staff IS NOT ALLOWED to give court numbers when reserving courts.

 

3.      All Members and Guests: All members and guests MUST CHECK IN for play with the Pro Shop before court time. Failure to check in will result in a warning, or possible suspension from the Tennis Center. Members playing on the South Side Courts may call the day of to receive the court number. However, when playing with a guest on the South Side, both the member and guest need to check in the Pro Shop due to fee and liability reasons. Guests of members will not be allowed to play without registering in the Pro Shop and signing in as a member’s guest.                                                                        The court may be reassigned ten minutes after the original reservation time if three or all players have not checked in with the Pro Shop.                                                        Membership or Guest Cards MUST be presented AT ALL TIMES! Due to liability reasons, the front desk has been advised to ask all members to show their membership cards. Any member who does not have their card at check in time will not be permitted to play.                                                                                                                                     Court reservations and court use is for members only. No player may play for more than 1.5 hours on reserved courts unless the courts are available. In the event that the Pro Shop is closed, play will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, in increments of 1.5 hours. No more than six balls are allowed on the court. After authorization at check in time, ball hoppers/baskets may be used among family members only, and only when adjacent courts are not in use.  Only instructors employed by Mission Bay are entitle to give tennis lessons on the property.

 

4.      Guest Fees: Members will be permitted to bring four (4) complementary guests per month. Any additional guest will be charged a $5 fee Off-Season (May 1st – October 31st) or a $7 fee In-Season (November 1st – April 30th). Friday will be Complementary Guest Day and it will not count towards the four (4) monthly passes.

 

5.      Cancellation Policy for Lessons: All cancellations done less than 6 hours in advance will result in a charge equivalent to the full session missed.

 

 

6.      Rules:  All rules will be subject to the discretion of the Tennis Director, including, but not limited to Tennis Functions and Maintenance Projects. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and adherence to the new policies.
