We have created the CHICO Award to give recognition to those pages that have focused on pet ownership and welfare. It was only granted to sites that blend a positive message about animals and their well-being, good taste, interesting links, graphics, music and a sense of respect towards all living creatures. Unfortunately we can no longer continue to offer this Award. However, enjoy those sites that received it so far.
The CHICO Award has been named after our kitten, Chico, who regardless of suffering from a fatal condition always remained sweet and loving towards everyone, until he passed away on December 4th, 1997, at the tender age of 4 months.
ONLY sites that express a personal
love and respect towards animals, including statements about animal welfare,
were considered for the CHICO Award. Under no circumstances did we
even acknowledge sites that exploit or show cruelty to animals in any manner.
These sites have received the CHICO Award. They're
