| "Coming In July of 2003 Positive Organizational Discipline POD." Positive Organizational Discipline provides a frame work for students, parents, and teachers to experience learning in a positive way. It incorporates organization with discipline to allow students and parents the freedom to provide a solid learning foundation which will enhance the learning environment. Teacher, when using POD practices and interventions, will effectively be able to present a lesson without disruptions. Having an understanding of how students learn is essential. If you knew that many of your students needed more explanation and demonstration time in order to fully understand a concept; using visual and hands-on teaching techniques would provide a solid connection. How many times have you attempted to teach a lesson and after about 10 minutes you feel like throwing up your hands? You become frustrated and the stress level rises. Learning is not fun any more, teaching is just a job and everyone loses. Positive Organizational Discipline will connect the knowledge of the teacher, with a group of willing students searching for new ideas, and allows for greater enjoyment and a willingness on the part of the student to give the extra effort. |
