PERSONAL: Married to Craig. One child. QUALIFICATIONS: I have served on Norristown Borough Council for last four years and, last year, I was elected Council President. My experience on council, in addition to my long involvement in the community, is the basis of my candidacy for re-election. COUNCIL HISTORY: Elected to Norristown Borough Council - November 1999 Elected as Council President – January 2003 Served on Economic Development Committee – January 2000 – November 2001 Council President Joe Byrnes removed her from the Economic Development Committee as part of a political ploy. Introduced various Resolutions such as one that took the Borough’s name off the Mayor’s frivolous lawsuit against a local bulletin board. Also set up Blighted Property Committee, implemented HARB study committee. Tried to introduce legislation to crack down on nuisance bars. Got no support from the administration just the usual negativity. Now she is working hand in hand with the Weed and Seed program to address the nuisance bar issue.
