The next time that Mikesmom goes to Memphis it will be to hear the "4 Letter Words", Mike. Nick, and Alex. Alex is currently learning guitar and I am hoping he is the next one to join them on stage-if he can stay out of the chocolates. Sign Guestbook

February 8, 2003 Mike and friend Nick had their debut at Neil's in Memphis. Mikesmom decided to go see them perform.
She was supposed to meet them at the Downtown Huey's for lunch. While they ate appetizers at the Downtown Huey's she waited patiently at the Midtown Huey's. Finally making connections, she showed up at the right place and met the notorious Nick she'd been hearing about.
Visions of a sniffing, swilling, guitarist filled her head. Oh what monster had lead her son astray into the land of Rock and Roll. Oh, wait a minute, wrong generation. That was my generation that had the drug induced hysteria with coke crazed musicians. Okay, back to Mikesmom meeting Nick. Mikesmom showed up with her hippy hair and met the clean-cut, intelligent, charming guitarist. They all worked on a crossword puzzle while waiting for their food.
Despite not having been in a club with a live band in 23 years, she wondered cautiously into Neils. To her surprise, the bar scene hadn't changed in nearly a quarter of a century. There's still the lone guy sitting at the end of the bar beckoning to every female walking in to park it next to him.
The show was great fun. Mike and Nick were awesome and the crowd (mostly friends) was bawdy. It was a good time and Mikesmom lasted until 2:30 am. One of the advantages of being old is that you get insominia and can stay up half the night.
