About the HOGPC Web Site

This web site has adopted the philosophy that the visitor should be able to control certain aspects of the "look and feel" of the various web pages. This may seem to be in contrast to how the World Wide Web has evolved following its commercialization. Nevertheless, we have chosen to embrace the earlier philosophies.

To accomplish this we have attempted to create the site in a way that permits the visitor to control the page width and font colors as much as possible. The only obvious exception to this would be the setting of font color to white when it appears above a dark background.

Visitors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with their browser preferences or settings to control these values.

Every page has a copy of the HOGPC logo in the upper-left hand corner of the page. This logo has been coded as a hyperlink back to the main page to assist in navigation of the site.

Most all of the images on the site have alternate text, or "alt text", associated with them. For most browsers, hovering the pointer over the image should reveal additional information or instructions.

We would also like to point out that all of the web pages for this site should have a nearly identical look and feel... except for some of the online forms. It was felt that those forms should match the "official" hardcopy counterpart as much as possible.

Finally, in an effort to curb the effects of electronic junk mail we have adopted a policy of altering provided email addresses. Click here for details.
