WHARTON, Bartley(Bartlett) - Served as a sargeant in the Third Regiment under Captain George Lidell during 1779 and was a private after the fall of Charleston, South Carolina
WHARTON, John - Enlisted during 1778, while residing in Ninety Six District, and served under John Wallace and Joseph Tolls as a minuteman. In addition, he served under Captain John Wilde and was in a number of skirmishes against the Tories. He also served under Colonel Hayes and assisted in burying Hayes. At sometime, he was assigned the duty of thrashing, cleaning and delivering grain to the army

KEITH, ELI - Served in the War of 1812 from 1/20/1814 to 5/20/1814 in Capt. Jesse G. Rainey's Co. of East Tennesse Mounted Gunmen, of the Regiment commanded by Col. John Brown. His pay was eight dollars per month plus 40 cents per day for the use of his horse for a total of $80.65.
