Scarbriel Family's Military Dedication Page
Our Family is a proud family of the U.S. Air Force. Through good times and bad, happiness and sadness, through TDY's, missed holidays, being on the 'grave shift' then working 12-hours a day, coming home to cranky kids and sometimes a cranky wife, having to put on a smiling face while your worried about that next phone call. Saying goodbye to your children and not knowing when you may see them again, remember email accounts, writing letters, requesting supplies. Oh, there is just so much more, too much to list! WE ARE AN AIR FORCE FAMILY AND PROUD OF IT! November 2001~Unfortunately, we're enduring another TDY. We have been very lucky in that all of the TDY's Matt's had to be on up until now have either been for school, training or no longer than 30 days. This one is for 90 and considering the horrendous attacks on America that occurred on 9-11-01, it may be longer. We pray it won't be. We love Matthew (Machu) with all of our hearts & souls and pray continously for him to return quickly & safely into our arms. I know all of our Friends & Families around the globe are praying for this as well and for that, I thank you, our girls thank you and I know Matt thanks you. Also, I want to put a quick note for some absoutely wonderful people who have been extremely helpful, gracious & patient with me since Matt has been gone. First I would like to thank SMSgt. Dennis Desilet of the 436 Aerial Port Squadron on Dover Air Force Base. SMSgt. Desilet, you've been extremely wonderful to me & the girls while Matt's been away and I don't know how we'll be able to repay you. In 9 years that Matt & I have been married, this is the first 'big' TDY and I didn't know how to handle it. Luckily with your help, I'm getting through it okay. We have a great struggle with the girls' health since Matt's been away as well and you've made sure if help was needed, it came right away. Next I would like to say a special THANKS to the Passenger Terminal (PAX), especially the Day Shift crew, for supporting the girls & I and making sure we were taken care of when Matt left. We have never seen as much compassion, love & overall family feeling when Matt was at other positions within the port. The men & women at PAX have been nothing but helpful to us if we needed help with something or just to say hi and make sure we were okay. That means so very much. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you!!!

~*~ Silent Ranks ~*~ I wear no uniforms, no blues are army greens But I am in the military in the ranks rarely seen I have no rank upon my shoulders. Salutes I do not give. But the military world is the place where I live I'm not in the chain of command, orders I do not get. But my husband is the one who does, this I cannot forget. I'm not the one who fires the weapon, who puts my life on the line. But my job is just as though. I'm the one left behind.
My husband is a patriot, a brave and prideful man. And the call to serve his country, not all can understand Behind the lines I see the things needed to keep the country free. My husband makes the sacrifice, but so do our kids and me. I love the man I married. Soldiering is his life. But I sttand among the silent ranks known as the Military Wife! ~~Author Unknown
