Wicca : A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner was written by the late Scott Cunningham in 1988. It is a staple for anyone who is practicing the craft. The book has gone through a cover change, but it is still the same wonderful book. If you buy this book in the store now it is $12.95 US and $14.95 CAN. This book is very hard to find in retail stores, best bet, buy it on-line.
Living Wicca : A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner was also written by the late Scott Cunningham. It was published in 1993. This is a continuation to the first book Wicca : A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner. This book has not gone through a cover change, although the price is the same as the other.
Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft written by Raymond Buckland. This book is in the style of a workbook. It is designed to give you a working course in the craft. It is very thorough and interesting. It goes into many aspects of the craft such as divination and sects. Along with the tow Cunningham books above, this is a must have for all serious practitioners. This book is easy to find. I've seen it in most book stores I've visited, it is also available on line.
Wicca 2000: Invocations, Prayers, and Rituals for the Magickal Millennium by Patricia Telesco is a charming book. It has practical information that is easy to understand. There are prayers and meditations for today's lifestyle. Although I feel this book is geared more toward women, men can benefit from reading it as well. This book is easy to find and can be ordered on line as well.
Green Witchcraft II : Balancing Light & Shadow by Ann Moura looks at witchcraft in a totally different 'light'. It talks of the Dark Powers and teaches us how not to fear them, but to use them for our benefit.
