MOON MAGICK

Before I get into technical jargon, I'm going to make this as simple as possible. In moon magick, spells are based on the phase of the moon. Simply put, if you want something good or something to come to you, you would do a spell while the moon is waxing (or becoming a full moon), doing it as close to the full moon as possible. If you want to rid yourself of something, you would do the spell when the moon is waning (or becoming a new moon), doing it as close to the new moon as possible. OK, now for more technical stuff.

The Waning Moon lasts about 14 days. It is from the time the moon is Full until it is New. This is the time for meditation, study and doing banishing magick.

The Waxing Moon last about 14 days. It is from the time the moon is New until it is Full. This is the time for constructive magick (i.e. wealth, love, health).

New Moon workings can be done from the day of the New Moon to three days later. This is the time for new beginnings, as well as love, health and employment.

The term 'Dark Moon' refers to the brief time when the Moon is totally invisible in the night sky. The Dark Moon is the best time for banishing spells. Also during this time you can ward off psychic attacks, bring justice. I don't recommend doing magick during this time, however. It is best to do constructive magick. Here is an expample: Perhaps you have an old lover who you'd like to leave you alone, this would be done during the Dark Moon, however, if at the same time, you want to bring a new lover in, you cannot do it during the Dark Moon and must wait until the Full Moon. The remedy: Don't do the Dark Moon magick. Wait until the Full Moon and do the constructive magick to bring new love into your life. What will happen is that by doing so, the destructive magick is done automatically.

Full moon is approx. 14 days after new moon (the energy lasts from three days before to three days after actual full moon). The Full Moon - is the time of greatest power. For prophecy, protection, and divination, or any working that needs extra magickal energy, Also for love, wisdom workings. Manifesting goals, passion, healing, strength, power.
