A brief history:
The Adams line begins with James Adams immigrating with his wife and family to Ontario, Canada from Scotland in 1856. His son becomes a dispatcher at the Woodville, Ontario rail station (GTW Midland Division), marries and raises a family. At the same time, the Zuendel family immigrates to Huron County, Michigan. There is a period of time when the Zuendel family returns to Germany, but eventually they return to Verona to continue a farming life. Alexander's son Daniel Webster Adams immigrates to Huron County, Michigan and the two families are joined. Daniel Webster moves his family to Highland Park, back to Verona, and finally back to Highland Park seeking various employment opportunities. |
