Tutorial

Here is a short explanation of how to make an simple image in bryce 4.0
just follow the steps and you will be able to create an image yourself.

New!, how to create a simple waterfall, check it out at the end of this site.

A simple image:

First of all, we are going to tell you something about
the program self, this is the top of the program, where
you can choose what sort of images you want to use
or what sort you want to import in your image.
For example, take a mountain, rotate the mountain
just to the place were you want it, then secondary
choose some water, place this were you want it and
import an object,
YOU have created your own image!!!
In the first text we told you that you could rotate the mountain
use the options (shown next to this text) to rotate the mountain
or the desktop anyway you like it.
At the top of this image you see a
little picture of the images
you are creating, look often to that little picture, so you know
precisely what you are doing and how the image will look
if it is rendered.
Below the little image you see an complete image of an moun-
tain with some objects, use this options to rotate the object
and the mountain together at the same time to the same direct-
tion.
Below that options you find
three crosses all standing in
another position, with the two at the top of them, you can
rotate the image to the
X an Y positions. The options in the
middle of the picture gives you the possibility to rotate the
image from the top to the buttom and back.
With the big cross, you can rotate the image anyway you like
it, do this slowly, otherwise you will lose the image in his
position. The last 5
balls are made for quick rendering.

Okay, after finishing the two part, we are ready to
make a new image.
Select in the taskbar the option File and choose
new document and the next screen will be
activated
(Document Setup). Choose your type
of resolution that you want to work with, do not
choose a resolution higher than your own monitor-
resolution, otherwise your images will not be as
good as it has to be.
Than select the type of image you want to make
(for a normal image you don't have to choose
anything, it's normal) and than click okay, your
empty image is loaded, your way to something
special is open!!!
After that you have created a mountain or a terrain, that has been
told in the first text you can create an material to that mountain or
you can import an object and edit it with some materials, choose the
Simple&Fast for light images, the Planes&Terraines for mountains
and for terrains, the Rocks&Stones for Terrains, the Waters&
Liquids for a Lake, See or a
Waterfall.

Use the material Clouds&Fogs for low fog or high clouds,
perfect for a mountain in the clouds, very nice.
Use wild&Fun for some weird images, use Complex fx for some
strange images and use the Miscellaneous for imported object.
If you import an object like a
ball, use the options of Glasses, for
perfect images and a beautiful reflection of your image, use Metal
in you image to make something look strong, use something of
Volume for making a Waterfall, Tutorial speaks for itself
and you as user can import handmade images in a new image.

Here you have the opportunity to import a lot of
objects, like trees, strange mountains, rocks, paths
and many more.
Experience something out for yourself!!!
After all this work is done the hardest and toughest work begins.
You have to find out which
Sky you are going to import for your
image, you have to choose between the standard Sky's, but you
have also the possibility to import a Sky from the Internet.

Do not use a dark sky in a light image and do not use a colorful
Sky in a light image, there is a lot of "finding out" to do.
You'll see, after that you have created a lot of images you can
choose the right Sky for your image.

The image is now completed and the only thing you
now have to do is to
"render" the image to the disk.
You have to choose the option "Render to disk" in
the taskbar, again by File.
After that the computer will render the image,
this progress may take a few minutes up to some
hours, that depends on the type of image you make.
