Elmer Shumaker Bare
Died At His Appleton Home
Resident for 30 years; Services at 2:30 Wednesday
E. S. Bare passed away last night at 8:30 o'clock at his home in the Appleton district death closing months of suffering with asthma and dropsy, resulting from years of asthma. he appeared to be somewhat improved shortly before his death, which came as a great shock to his family and friends.
Born in Richland county, Ohio on January 21, 1871. Elmer S. Bare was 63 years old. He was married in Huron county, Ohio to Ella F. Beelman and to this union were born eight children all of whom, with their mother, survive.
Mr. Bare had made his home in the Appleton district on his ranch for 30 years engaged all of that time in ranching. He had been a member of the Brethern Church since he was 19 years of age and had been active in the Appleton church. He is very well known here and over the entire lower valley district.
Surviving Mr. Bare are his widow, Mrs. Ella Bare, and their eight children, Roy Bare of Detroit, Michigan, Mss Bertha Bare, Galen Bare, Howard Bare, Mrs. C. R. Kipp, Miss Iola Bare, Corwin Bare and Miss Jean Bare all of whom reside here. He is also survived by two sisters and a brother who reside in Ohio.
Services will be held at the Martin chapel at 2;30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Bryant of the Appleton church will be in charge. Burial will be in the municipal cemetery.
