Lonely weekend |
I believe I promised you a picture of Matt. OK so there was one in my last entry, but it was old. So here is one from a couple days ago. Not a very good one, as far as how well you can see him, but he was laying on the bed with his punkin and I couldn't resist. He really has a soft spot for Collin. I mean he has a soft spot for all of them, but he is the best with Collin right now. Oh that sounded wrong. Before he was great, but babies just weren't really his thing. Now he really seems to enjoy this stage. I wonder if it cause Collin is such a great baby, or if Matt has just gotten used to this stage and likes it now. Who knows. Speaking of great babies...isn't he beautiful?? Look how big he is getting. :( Matthew and Dillon say he is standing up when he pushes up like that. I wish you could see his eyes better in that picture. They are so blue, like Dillon's. Notice how intensely he is looking? What do you think he is looking at?? Matthew, of course! Matthew and Dillon are pretty neat to him. Although, I don't see him dying to get up and go with them yet. He is still happiest with mommy. Today he had this look. And he looked just like his papa Joe. I guess that is good since that is where his middle name came from. He definitely has his chin. :) Which I guess is his daddy's chin too! But the look was papa Joe for sure. Now look at them!! Three peas in a pod. Oops, I mean five peas in a pod. Five because Tiger and Bill are a part of the family too. They go EVERYWHERE with us. And, lucky me, I get nightly kisses from them. Bet when my dad came to visit and got them these animals from Build a Bear he had no idea what permanent fixtures they would become. Bill used to have a sound t hing in his leg that sais "I love you, I love you" but stopped working. Off we went to B. a B. where surgery was performed and he got a new voice. Hooray!! If you ever are around a build a bear workshop, I redcommend you adopt an animal. Very low maintanence!! ;) |
So can you tell by my subject that Matt is in Toledo? Well he is. I hate these weekends. I don't know why, I should just get over it and deal with it. I just hate being alone. Even though I am not really alone, but you know what I mean. I just talked to him and as I write this he is searching for Value City. I tried to call Carrie, but there is no answer there, so I can't help him out. Oh well. Did I mention we are painting the kitchen? I am so excited, but at the same time I am ready for it to be DONE. Right now our cupboards are yellow. Our ceiling has been painted too. It is supposed to be like a sky blue, but you can't even tell it is blue at all. So we have to take the paint back and see if they can darken it. When Matt gets home we will do the walls a light yellow. The cupboards were a dark wood color. It is much brighter in here now. But everything is moved around and off the counters, and I am just ready to put it all back to normal. I will take pictures when it is done. Mom is still at grandma's. She says that grandma is complaining, so you know she is on the mend. LOL I have noticed that when she is gone, my phone doesn't ring. Well not very often at least. I will be awfully lonely after next year when they move to Idaho. :( Guess I should make some friends huh? I have Michele here, but she bothers me. I don't agree with alot of the things they do, and I imagine with a baby it will be worse. Already some of the things she has told me about how they are going to raise this baby bug me. I won't go into details though, cause it would just bore you. And probably lots of people who read this do the same things!! Anyway, I guess as Aimee informed me last night, we all think we raise our kids right. Like she has a CLUE!! Not that it isn't true, but it cracks me up when she gives me advice on how to raise my kids. I think you should have SOME experience with kids before you dish out advice. When she was here at Christmas, she refused to call Collin Collin. She would only call him CJ. She said Collin sounded too much like Dillon and that he deserved his own identity, and since we failed at doing that, she was going to fix it. *rolling eyes* Oh well, to each his own, right? |
