CampFire USA Sparks
Candy Sale orders have been placed and a minimum of fifteen boxes has been ordered for each member. We'll be setting up a booth (hopefully at the Ralph's in Hillcrest) where we can sign up for stints to sell. This should be a lot of fun for the kids.
The annual Kick-off Celebration at Camp Cahito will be on January 5 (Saturday). We hear this is a lot of fun, with craft booths, games, activities and food for all. The sale officially starts the next day and will continue thru mid-February. There are forms that each member needs to fill out before the selling begins. We'll get those passed out at the ceremonial.
We have new members on board: Ryan McKinney and his mom Tara. Tara has "grown" up with Camp Fire and will undoubtedly bring enthusiasm and share great ideas with our club. Welcome Ryan and Tara.
We have a new home for our meetings!! Camp Cahito! What a great place this will be. Lots of room outdoors and cabins should it rain. Take 6th avenue to the Park. Turn left on Balboa Drive. Drive about one-tenth of a mile, and look for the Camp Fire sign and camp entrance on the left, across from the playground.
Don't forget to visit the Wild Animal Park this month! We have free passes for one adult and one child for each of our members. Anyone interested in going as a group, let either Aimee or Ann know.
Starting in January we will once again change our meeting times to either Tuesday or Thursday. This time should work for nearly every member. More info will follow.
