Winnie, Poopsie and Midget
Let me introduce you to Winnie the Pooh.
She's my Old English Sheepdog who I got at the SPCA 11 years ago. She had been brought to the SPCA when she was 6 weeks old, adopted out, and had just arrived back the day I went there to adopt a dog. She was approximately 10 months old when I got her. I have been so blessed with Winnie, she is a laid-back, low-key doggie, constant and loyal companion, and is so very kind to my granddaughters. With her is my other Rescue dog, Midget. I saved her mom's life by bringing her home from the Dog Pound. Little did I know that she was pregnant. She had 6 puppies, Midget is one of them. We were able to place all other dogs in good loving homes.
You can see why she is called
Winnie the Pooh
Two years ago I thought that Winnie needed a companion. I bought Lady Jane Poopsmore (better known as Poopsie). Winnie didn't like her at first (she was a bothersome pup!) but since Poopsie is a bit older now, they get along fine (as long as Poopie doesn't bother Winnie while she is sleeping.
Here's Winnie and Poopsie when she was 3 months old, and below is Poopsie with her favorite pink thangie.
and here's Miss Poopsie at age one.
She is such a funny girl...
usually lies down to eat just like that.
Here are the Velcro Girls.
Now, Poopsie is not what you'd call laid-back, quite the contrary. I have to put her in the bedroom for a while when someone comes over because she is so excited to see people. But that can be annoying. When she calms down, she comes out, and practially wags her rearend off (they have no tails, thus the name "Bobtails").
All of my dogs bring great joy to my life, and it's always fun to drive up in my driveway and see their cute mugs in the front window, waiting for me.
