Albert W. Skidmore was a well respected man. He worked hard all his life doing whatever he could to provide for his family. He and Mary owned a small farm in Tucker County, WV and when they sold that land, they moved to the Morgantown, WV area. Albert worked in the coal mines for several years and following retirement he enjoyed smoking his pipe and trading watches and pocket knifes.
Mary E. Ball (my Grandmother) was born and raised in Tucker County. She had one brother Sam who is with her in a photo with this report. She was a fine lady and was loved by everyone who knew her. She was known as one who would tell it like it is!
