Funeral for Jack Lee Greenway, 75, Chickasha, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, 1993, in Brown - Binyon Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1993, in LaCrosse Cemetery, LaCrosse, Kansas.
He was born, the son of John Greenway and Orrie Belle Welch, on March 20, 1918, at LaCrosse, Kans., where he was reared. He died in Chickasha on Friday, Dec. 10, 1993.
Mr. Greenway married Helen Marie Ochs on Nov. 29, 1943, at LaCrosse, Kansas.
He worked in the oil field ( Gardner Bros. Drilling Co.) for four years and the mobile home business (Commonwealth Trailer Sales ) for 12 years. He lived in Aztec, N.M., in the Four Corners area, for several years and moved to Chickasha on June 8, 1962. Since 1964, he had been disabled due to a heart condition. Mr. Greenway worked in small engine repair for 12 years.
He served in the Medical Corp in the United States Army during World War II and had been a member of the Disabled American Veterans. ( Chapter 17 )
Mr. Greenway was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one son, Jackie Lee Greenway.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Greenway of Salam, Mo. (now of Verden, Oklahoma ); daughters, Jackie Joan McClurg of Fresno, California, Roberta Faye Greenway of Cement, Jerri Drennon of Verden, Brenda Hinton of Salem, Mo.; a sister, Virginia Baldwin of Jetmore, Kan.,; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Interment will be in LaCrosse Cemetery under the direction of Brown - Binyon Funeral Home.
