Amazing Grace. These are just two small and insignificant words that by themselves mean very little, but oh what a message do they carry! Amazing...amazing is God's love for us....amazing is His sacrifice...amazing is His grace.

I am a sinner that was saved by the grace of God since December 1970. But if you think that that is the end of the story you are wrong...it is only the begining of a beautiful love story. The story of the love that God had for this lost lamb, a lost child that God loved so much that He sent His only Son to pay a price that rightfully belonged to me.

As a child I realized that I was a sinner in need of salvation. Praise God that He gave me parents that knew the importance of bringing up their children in church, for that is where my journey began. That is where I first felt the wonderful love of God.

Do you remember the first breath that you took after you became a child of God? Oh I do! I remember feeling as if a giant weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I rememeber feeling so wonderful that I wanted to share this feeling with everyone that I knew. I wanted to share the wonderful love of God with everyone that would take the time to listen to me. I didn't want to leave anyone out. I wanted the whole world to know the wonderful salvation that comes from knowing Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. I wanted to share this love and I wanted them to understand it was as simple as saying 'come into my heart Lord Jesus'. Sadly I also know that with time that desire faded, and I became silent. But praise God that that wasn't the end of my story either....God wasn't through with me yet!

I married, had two beautiful children, and got on with the everyday business of life. Years passed, and my marriage fell apart, and so did I. Thankfully I had many people that loved and cared for me and I got through it. However, there was an emptiness that was within me that could not seem to be filled...not with anything...except Jesus.

My best friend asked me to go to a church that she belonged to. Church? That was something that I had not done in such a long time....but I went. I must tell you it was like coming home! I was coming home! I was HOME! I may have walked away from God, but He never walked away from me. He was always there. Always loving. Always waiting. Waiting for this sinner to come HOME! He was rejoicing over this child that was once lost, but now was found. I was His child! I was a child of God! I had been lost in a world that did not belong to me. Praise God that I found my way HOME!

You see my journey began as a child, but praise God that it isn't over yet! I have learned that God says in His word that the path to heaven is narrow, and we as Christians need to stay in the word of God for it is the word that is a light unto our paths. We live in a dark and dangerous world that is full of traps that are there to entangle us so that we will lose sight of Christ. But when we as Jesus into our hearts we are no longer alone, we have an wonderful Savior that walks along side of us. He is always there, always loving, always patiently waiting for us to take His hand and walk with Him!

Do you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Have you asked Him into your heart? If you haven't it is as simple as saying...'Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I know that you died so that I might live. And Lord, I come to you now, asking that you come into my heart and to be my Lord and Savior'. If you have said this prayer, tell someone. Tell me. I would love to pray with you. You can e-mail me at
