Probably no connections at all--but my grandfather is Oscar William Morton--son of John Morton (probably Mo--know nothing about him, except died of Typhoid, and was a railroad man). John married Katherine Bodine of Dallas. Oscar was born in Del Rio Tx. nd later married Marion Putnam in El Paso. I have tracked my husband's family back to 1650, but I can't get past my own grandparents!

My mother was Bessie Mary Morton from Manchester,England.She died in 1973. I am new to genealogy, I gave up when my mothers mother(Antheadora Morton) couldn't even remember her own maiden name.I live in Ogden and know where to go for help, but I'm trying from this end.Have a terrific 2000!!! Thanks.

My neice, Kenni Morton, e-mailed me your web page. I came to the same conclusion that she did. The man looks like my twin brothers, but even more so like my father, Colon Winfred Morton. He was the son of (Bud) Francis Marion Morton and Anna Lavilla Be nett. Actually, the lady resembles my father's half sister, Ruth Morton Nelson. What a small world. Is there anything else I can tell you about my family. You have certainly gone farther back into history than my neice, Kenni, has been able to do. Th likeness is uncanny. Colleen Morton Mitchell

When I signed onto your web page, I wasn't expecting anything (my Morton family seems to dropped in from who knows where) so when I saw the picture of William Oscar Morton, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. This man is the spitting image of my own fa her and his identical twin brother. I mean exactly! It was scary! Even though I didn't recognize any of the names you had listed, it was really uncanny how much they looked alike. I can only trace my family back to NC 1808 starting with George Washing on Morton/Mourton and his wife Arrena Nunn. Haven't been able to find anything else about them. I still can't believe the likeness of this picture and my father!
