Save the Children

This wallhanging started with a "Save the Children" tie that was given to me. I participated in a satin swap and had all these bright colors and thought they went great with the tie. I pieced it using the antique method described in the Magic of Crazy Quilting by J. Marsha Michler - my first time using this method. The tree came from Karren (Mistress Magic) and the drawings on the green block and the navy block came from Karren's boys. I shamelessly borrowed the button-head kids and the beaded kids from Tree's site. When I look at it, I almost can't believe I made it - it's so different from everything else I've done.
