Jazzercat dressed in his finestGreetings! As a cat, I do enjoy the finer things in life, one of which is eating. My humans are always cooking up something interesting. Here you will find some of my very favorite recipes. Do check back often to see what's new on the menu.

1 lb. bulk sausage
1 large onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 yellow bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 large can kidney beans
1 large can V-8 Juice
1 can diced tomatoes
salt to taste
chili powder to taste
Terry's Garden Pepper Chili

In large pot, brown sausage, onion and peppers.
Add kidney beans, V-8 Juice and tomatoes.
Season with salt and chili powder to taste.
Add water to desired thickness. Bring to boil.
Reduce heat, cover pot and simmer for 1 hour.

Jazzercat's Tip:When choosing sausage, pick
mild, medium or hot according to your taste.
We chose mild for our recipe.

5 cups torn spinach
1 cup strawberry halves
1 cup kiwi cubes
1/3 cup pecan pieces
1/3 cup Gouda cheese strips

1/8 cup lime juice
1/8 cup honey
1 Tbsp canola oil
1/4 tsp ground ginger
Strawberry Kiwi Spinach Toss

Toss first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Shake together lime juice,
honey, oil and ginger. Pour over salad and refrigerate.

1 yellow cake mix
2 bananas, mashed
1 tsp baking powder

1 sm. Cool Whip
1 sm. instant vanilla pudding
1 cup milk
Banana Cake

Prepare cake mix according to package instructions.
Fold in baking powder and bananas. Bake according
to package instructions.

Topping: Mix Cool Whip, instant pudding and milk.
Spread on cooled cake. Refridgerate.

1 lb. ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 green pepper, diced

1 can diced tomatoes
2 cups small macaroni
salt to taste
chili powder to taste
Heart Warmin' Chili

In large pot, brown ground beef, onion and
green pepper. Add kidney beans, V-8 Juice
and tomatoes. Season with salt and chili powder
to taste. Add water to about 2 inches from top
of pot. Bring to boil. Add macaroni. Bring to
boil again. Reduce heat, cover pot and
simmer for 1 hour.

2 large cans fruit cocktail
1 small box instant lemon pudding
2 or 3 bannanas
Quick Fruit Salad

Mix fruit cocktail and lemon pudding in large bowl. Refridgerate. Just before serving, slice up bananas and add to fruit salad.

2 lb. bag Hash Browns (thawed)
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pint of sour cream
2 cups grated sharp cheese
1 stick of butter (melted)
salt and pepper to taste
2 tablespoons dried onions
corn flakes crushed
Hash Brown Cassarole

Spray 13x9 baking dish with Pam and set
aside. Mix all ingredients together except
corn flakes. Spread mixture in 13x9
baking dish and sprinkle with crushed
corn flakes. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

1 cup Minute Rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
2 tsp. grated onion
2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
2 1/2 cups V-8 Juice
Porcupines

Combine Minute Rice with beef, egg, onion, salt,
pepper and 1/2 cup of V-8 Juice. Mix lightly.
Shape mixture into balls and place in skillet.
Pour remaining V-8 Juice over meatballs in skillet.
Bring mixture to boil. Reduce heat;
simmer covered 15 minutes.

Jazzercat's Tip: Try substituting any cream-type
canned soup for the V-8 Juice for a whole new taste!

3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
8 Tbsp cocoa
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp vinegar
12 Tbsp salad oil
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups cold water
Wacky Cake


Mix all dry ingredients together. Make a well in mixture
and add the rest of the ingredients. Pour mixture into
a 9x13 ungreased pan. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
Cake does not require icing. Dust with powdered sugar
if desired.
