Gayle is the second child in the Stodden family. As you can see, Gayle has a "thing" for jellybeans (but she hates the black ones!) Gayle married her high school sweetheart, Nick, on September 11, 1982. They have 5 children: Nikole (18), Jessika (17), Karilynne (16), Nicolas (13), and Quintin (7). Their home on Lincoln Drive, Grand Forks, ND, was flooded during the terrible 500 year flood of 1997. Since then they have bought a new home. Sadly, their cockatiel Higgy, that was rescued from the flood, passed on in the fall of 1998. She led a long and adventurous life.

Gayle and Nick enjoy a good brew--be it iced tea or beer (usually the latter). They also enjoy to tour microbreweries, one of their favorites being Schell Brewery in New Ulm, MN. Schell's is also the home of 1919 Root Beer--a favorite of young and old.
