IRELAND - I Want to                             Return, Really...
St. Patrick, an Englishman, is the Saint most associated with the Irish mind.

On the other hand, one must not forget that the
Republic's first president was Eamon DeValera, an
American....

That's Ireland, without whom the English Empire would have never been held as long as it was - and that while the Brits were subjugating Ireland!
West Cork Traffic Jam........
BANTRY - As one enters Bantry coming from the East (Highway N 71, I believe) one of the first things one sees on the south of the road is a cemetery.
THEN, as if to make one forget the cemetery, the Bay takes over on the same side of the road.
WEST CORK - The air may be slightly chilly in April, but thanks to the Mexico's Gulf Stream, the palm trees (minus coconuts) are there nevertheless....
BANTRY BAY - a place of magnificent stillness as seen from Brenda's former estate.
BLARNEY - Lee River whitewater. The castle is not too far...
This photo is out of sequence. It should actually be with those belonging to County Kerry. Although we were inside the church behind us, neither Kathy, nor I, remember who its patron is. Suffice it to say that it's right in Downtown Kenmare. Guess I'l wait to find out until next time...
Who says I'm not lucky? All this and a Boston Irish redhead...
BLARNEY - I hate to shop. To me, going to a Mall in the U. S. is the equivalent of torture. On the other hand, guess who took Kathy to the Blarney Woolen Mills Department Store three times... I can't wait until I do it again, either. Oh, what beautiful things that warehouse-looking building has inside on display... And the beautiful people... well, I am partial to the Irish, I guess.

If Christ ever returns, He will want to live in GOUGANE BARRA. Why He didn't do it the first time it's something I shall never understand.
