| 1992 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Having helped to found the Quintessence Brazilian Branch, acquired from Francisco J. Celeirós, and José Maria Vergaças Vicente (Firm formerly known as Livraria Pedro Primeiro), I soon found myself side by side with Brazilian book salesmen. Top Left - With Francisco Celeirós. ABOVE: Mrs. Olavo Gonçalves. Dr. Gonçalves was a friend of the firm's majority stockholders in Germany. Later, on the day that our photos at the stand were shot, a Doctor Albino J. Marchon closed down our booth through a court order he had secured claiming hat his firm was the true representative in Brazil of the German parent company.
