LEFT-OUT PHOTOS
From thousands I could have used in my regular page, I felt that the following also need a chance to be shown:
1979 - Aboard an uncrowded Japanese train... (Courtesy of Mr. Setsuo Hirokawa)
EASTERN VIEW FROM CALOURA
CRUISE SHIP AT PONTA DELGADA
FORMER PONTE PROPERTY - NOW A SCHOOL
PONTA DELGADA LANDMARK VISITED BY RAINBOW
PONTA DELGADA - A place to walk peacefully along Ave. Infante D. Henrique
There are no robins in the Azores. On the other hand, I look forward to those who visit me as soon as Spring and Summer come to St. Louis. For the last three yers, in fact, robins have added to my glee and expectation by building nests on my property once again....
LEFT - The photo has nothing to do with the Azores, or Portugal. It has, instead, to deal with a part of the United States which I enjoy visiting. Cape Cod has a charm all its own, whether under sunshine, or the almost-depressing skies that only tell us that it must be Fall in June, July, or August, as is the case in the photo. The quietness of the canals in the Wooks Hole section of the Cape makes one forget that not too far away the Atlantic Ocean has another dimension awaiting those who dare to tempt it. In a way, there is a sort of unreal quality about the area that makes one who was born on an island, as I was, feel nostalgic and want to take off and never again return to land.
On the other hand, in spite of my acrophobia, I seem  to feel that the view of a city from a bridge over a river is always a most relaxing sight, as long as I am not driving.
ABOVE - Views on, and  from, the 25 of April Bridge, Lisbon, Portugal...
