Howdy! Come along & walk with me in my Garden of
Love.
Happy Trails to You!
DEDICATED TO NATIVE GARDENING.
One day as I was enjoying our Garden of Love a ways up the
hillside, a car passing by suddenly stopped, backed up, and
stopped in front of the garden! A guy came barreling out
running towards me! I thought, "Oh no! He's gonna kill me!"
Well, he told me that his wife and he had walked past our
garden admiring it. He just wanted to tell me how much they
liked our garden!
Whew! What a relief to know right then! Ha. Others
have said the same! Sometimes I would give tours to
walkers passing by. I hope you enjoy the Garden
Landscapes and Trails.
I'll plant some more flower bulbs and seeds. And so I just did, planting some 50 gladiola bulbs the evening of 04/23/01, and meeting Carol P., a returnée to our area who appreciated my tulips. Perhaps I may sit out along the garden to give pay-for-tours to passer-byes in my native-domestic landscape. We could drink cool lemonade in the upper tier overlooking the fruit trees and street, sitting on my own Railroad tie bench walls under my Ponderosa Pine near the grape vines and wild Chamise brush. Some could pay me with kisses under the arches of the ol' Greasewood (Chamise).
Just the other day on 12/20/01, another new neighbor from down the street, sweet Kelly stopped as she was walking by. She also told me that she liked my Spring time Tulips and that she had picked up some of the aloe vera succulents that I left out on the street side railroad steps for passer-byes to take this past Summer 2001. They were in a plastic lid with water and a sign saying "free" and some plastic bags to carry them. I gave Kelly a quick tour of my Garden of love and some more aloe vera with offer to come and get some flower seeds and Seedum and Aptenia (Red Apple) succulents for groundcover.
Hey folks, I still have another large clump of Aloe Vera that needs dividing.
Meet the Adonis of the Garden of Love!
He's up there on the hilltop lawn sitting with his hot pink tulips. You just gotta climb up through his wild and rocky uphill pathway photos thru link:
